Delaware Valley League play. #6
Nemaha Valley (9-10) has a long drive to Maranatha for 1st round
play. Effingham (8-11) heads into Panther Country for a cat fight.
Pleasant Ridge (7-12) heads west to Sabetha* (assuming Sabetha beat

Christian (14-3) is not a strong #1 seed, loosing to 2A Wathena (28-29)
Feb 24. #2 Nemaha Valley (14-5)* and #3 seed Maranatha (14-6) continue to
win. #4 seed Maur Hill clinched the seed* with a win over 4A Royal
Valley. The bottom three teams -- Sabetha (6-10), Oskaloosa (6-11), and Pleasant
Ridge
(2-14) will be on the road for their first round substate games. |

owns the #1 seed, assuming a win over 4A Holton ( ). Mount Academy dropped
to the #4 seed by loosing to 4A Royal Valley (46-45), as Maranatha
finished out their schedule with a nine 3-pointer win over Metro Christian
(94-57) on senior night. KC Christian took care of 1A Cass-Midway, MO
(53-22) and 2A Wathena (59-36). Oskaloosa upset 2A Troy (undefeated in the
Delaware Valley League) (39-35). Effingham beat Nemaha Valley (51-43).

Cass-Midway, MO (60-55) but fell to 2A Wathena (28-29!?). Nemaha
Valley dashed Effingham's hopes for a #4 seed ( ). Maranatha
took care of business, defeating Metro Christian (70-40) on senior night.
Maur Hill cinched the #4 seed with a win over 4A Royal Valley (46-39).
Oskie fell to 2A Troy (50-65). Sabetha handled 4A Holton (56-52).

pummeled 4A Royal Valley (63-35) and took care of business with Mount Academy
(57-36). Mount Academy topped Effingham
(56-35). Maranatha drilled 18-2 Barstow, MO (56-34), and
out battled 5A Mill Valley (43-35), and fell to Missouri 2A #3 ranked undefeated 20-0 St. Joseph
Christian for homecoming (47-51), costing them the #2 seed. KC Christian cruised over 1A
Highland (46-28) and 2A Jeff North (59-35). Oskie fell to P-Ridge (36-38) and
1A Highland (31-34 OT). Nemaha
Valley fell to 4A Hiawatha (51-40) but stopped 4A Royal Valley (49-31). Effingham
fell to 4A Jeff West (34-52). P-Ridge beat Oskie again (38-36) and slayed 2A Jackson
Heights (65-59 OT). |
